Katharine McPhee Womens Day at the White House

Celebrating International Women’s Day, Katharine McPhee was spotted singing at the White House yesterday afternoon (March 8).

The “American Idol” babe looked lovely as she performed in the East Room, sporting a simple-yet-sexy grey dress.

Opening the reception, First Lady Michelle Obama announced, “I get to speak first while he [Barack] stands and watches.  I love this.  Look at me adoringly.”

The celebration was quite an event, with Kerry Washington handling the emceeing duties and Afghani singer Mozhdah Jamalzadah performing.
