Held at MuchMusic World Headquarters, the "American Idol" alum was all smiles as he greeted fans and posed for pictures while prepping to perform at the annual event.
As for the show, the MMVAs are being co-hosted by Miley Cyrus and the MuchMusic VJs while performers include Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Justin Bieber.
Meanwhile, Drake leads the pack with seven nominations while Hedley placed second with six nods.
