He’s been keeping quiet about masseuse Molly Hagerty’s allegations that he groped and sexually assaulted her, and finally Al Gore is speaking out to defend himself.
The former Vice President insists the Portland, Oregon massage therapist is lying about her claims that he sexually violated her during a massage session in 2006.
Gore family spokesperson Kalee Kreider told press, "Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore. The Gores cannot comment on every defamatory, misleading and inaccurate story generated by tabloids. Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago. He stands by that denial."
Portland police have decided to reopen the investigation now that Ms. Hagerty has gone public with the sexual assault accusations.
