Oksana Grigorieva Investigated for Extortion

Lately Mel Gibson has been taking a ton of heat for his horrible verbal abuse of Oksana Grigorieva as heard on a series of taped conversations, but police are looking into Oksana’s involvement as well.

According to a report, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating Grigorieva for possible extortion charges, as she’s thought to have blackmailed Gibson with the tapes.

Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told press, "Extortion allegations have been brought to our attention and we are certainly going to be looking at that."

The drama is the result of a bitter custody battle between Mel and Oksana over their 8-month-old daughter Lucia.
