Daniel Craig Scores Dragon Tattoo Gig

He’s always up for a challenge, and Daniel Craig has signed on to star in the American remake of the critically acclaimed Swedish crime thriller “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”

The “Quantum of Solace” stud will play the role of Mikael Blomkvist, an investigative reporter who gets mixed up in a mysterious disappearance that happened nearly 40 years earlier.

And it sounds like Daniel is going to get some super sexy star power to work with, as actresses Rooney Mara, Ellen Page, and Emily Browning are all up for the female lead.

“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is set to hit theaters on December 21st, 2011, and could be the first of a trilogy.
